Oh Boy! It’s the best time of the year to be trying your favorite restaurant or that new place you’ve been concocting a plan to get a reservation. There’s a long list of top notch locations, new and classic to visit this year. You can see the full list here from the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington.
If the options overwhelm, keep in mind that many places frequently extend their restaurant week to the end of the month. One piece of advice, since the menus are prix fix its a good way to see what the restaurant offers in the way of its style and approach to food. You can always go back later for the full menu experience.
Abandoned Recipes is trying a smattering of places (this is one of my more aggressive #DMVRW) and we’ll have recaps of our locations the following days. Trying to cover all the bases I’m enjoying:
- Lincoln (largely due to the winter squash tater tots!)
- Zaytinya (If you don’t know where else to go, go here. It’s extended until February 1st)
- The Source LUNCH Winter 2015 (This has been on my list to try for some time)
- Del Campo (they had me at yucca fries and Peruvian chicken)
